I've just added a new product to the Books Inside Boxes store: The Surprise Box. I've been creating boxes for a year and half, and I have an abundance of leftover, mismatched items.
The reason for this is due to several factors. Often, I will find the perfect box item, but the minimum purchase requirements are different from the other items in the box, leaving me with a few extra of a particular thing. I've also had damaged products arrive, and I've had to create a box less than intended. Sometimes, kind business owners throw in extras of their products or even gift me with sample items ( often stickers). This has led to a growing surplus, leading to the idea of the Surprise Box.
I'm using these products to create a surprise or mystery box. Actually, it might sometimes be a padded envelope, depending on the products.
If there was a past product that you loved or wanted to try, please send me a private message, and if I have this particular item, I can make sure that it is in your surprise box. For example, maybe you loved the maple lip balm from the Vermont box or the cocktail napkins from the Colorado box. You could be a new subscriber who missed out on a sold-out box or really wanted a book that we previously read.
Not every surprise box will include a book, and the books that could be included might have damage. The damage will never be significant enough to affect the reading quality of the book, but might have a bent cover or slight warping. The damaged books were ones that arrived that I did not feel were good enough quality to include in a box, but also could not be returned to the publisher. All of the other remainder products will be in new condition, with no damage. Food and beauty items will not be expired. These were simply remainder items, not damaged items. The boxes will all contain a mix of items for different previous boxes and no two items will be the same.
