25th Literary Road Trip Box Raffles!!!

In August of 2023, I mailed my first Literary Road Trip Box. The state was New Jersey, the featured book was Florence Adler Swims Forever by Rachel Beanland, and I worked with Thunder Road Books in Springlake. I had never created a subscription box, but I had a concept to travel through literature and a dream of promoting indie bookstores.

Thunder Road Books kindly said yes to collaborating with me, and somehow, subscribers discovered my store. The first box had fifteen subscribers. I only knew three of the first subscribers, all of the others were strangers from across the United States. Many of those initial subscribers are still on the road trip, having received all of the boxes. Thank you to those who were with me from the beginning and those who have joined us on the way. You have no idea how much I appreciate you and I treasure to community that we have built.

The Literary Road Trip has grown significantly since that first box. I routinely sell-out during the subscription phase and each month, I've been increasing the number of limited edition boxes that I build. I'm excited to be sending out box twenty-five, but also excited to see where we will be in another year.

To mark the this milestone, I've planned two raffles. Each raffle is to win a twenty-five dollar gift card to Bookshop.org. If you're not familiar with Bookshop.org, it is a fantastic online company that supports independent bookstores. When you shop through their site, you can designate an indie bookstore that you'd like to receive a portion of the sale. They also give a yearly payout to all of the bookstores that participate. Bookshop provides a valuable resource for indie bookstores, especially those who are too small to have a strong online store. It serves customers who either live far from their favorite indie or who prefer to shop online.

The first raffle will be exclusive to August Literary Road Trip subscribers. I will put the names of all of the August subscribers in a mason jar, and on August 4th, I will go on Instagram live to pull a winner.

The second raffle will be held on September 1st. This raffle will include the names of anyone who makes a Books Inside Boxes purchase from July 24th, 2025- August 31st, 2025. This includes the current road trip subscribers, boxes from the store, sticker purchases, anyone who buys a subscription for September...the raffle entries will be per-purchase, so you can have more than one. For example, if you go to the store and buy three boxes, that will be three entries. If you are already a subscriber and you purchase a sticker bundle, that will be two entries.
